WHY: INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
BACKGROUND:
CANUTILLO, TX- Thursday night 01-15-09 at about 7:15 PM, Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the 900 block Antelope, Westway, TX 79835 in reference to a shooting. Deputies arrived and immediately made contact with the Reporters / Victims.
After a brief investigation, it was learned the Victims had been involved in a verbal argument with other individuals (suspects) at an undisclosed location. Shortly after the initial argument, the suspects drove to the Victims’ home where they allegedly shot several rounds towards the victims who were standing outside the house.
No one was hurt or struck by any bullets, however, several neighbors / witnesses confirmed hearing gunshots. Deputies immediately canvassed the area searching for the suspects involved.
Detectives from the Sheriff's Criminal Investigation Division were summoned to the scene and have taken over the case.
