EL PASO, TX- Late Monday night 11-17-08 at 11:00 PM, Sheriff's Deputies were called to the Rescue Mission of El Paso located at 1949 W. Paisano in reference to a located missing person. Deputies arrived and made contact with the reporter who told authorities he is currently residing at the Rescue Mission and was watching the the news on television when he saw the story on the missing man. The reporter told Deputies he immediately recognized the reported missing person as an individual who was also staying at the Rescue Mission. The Reporter stated he then contacted the number provided on the television screen & called authorities. Deputies were then directed to the missing man who identified himself as Esekeel Gonzalez. Positive identification was made as Deputies observed Mr. Gonzalez to be alert & unharmed. Deputies transported the Victim back to his residence in Clint, TX releasing him to a responsible party.

NO OTHER INFORMATION WILL BE RELEASED AT THIS TIME.

BACKGROUND:

CLINT, TX- On Tuesday 11/11/08 at about 12:00 PM -Deputies were called to a residence in Clint, TX in reference to a possible missing person. The caller advised Deputies a 46 year-old man who is known to walk around in the area & suffers from a mental condition was missing. The caller advised Sheriff's Officials the missing individual / Victim was last seen the day before 11-10-08 at the Big 8 Grocery store located 10720 North Loop in Socorro, TX. The caller advised Deputies the Victim has been known to disappear like this from time to time but normally returns home the next day.

The individual missing was identified as ESEKEEL GONZALEZ (DOB: 10-13-62) 5'4" 110lbs. black hair, brown eyes, wearing green sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black & white shoes. The Victim is said to be suffering from schizophrenia & depression. It is said Mr. Gonzalez is from Brownsville, TX & has no family in the area.

As of 11-17-08, Mr. Gonzalez remains missing. Sheriff's Officials are urging anyone who may have seen or come in contact with Mr. Gonzalez to please contact the El Paso County Sheriff's Office at (915) 546-2280.
