PASSPORT FAIR SATURDAY, JUNE 6, 2009

(El Paso, Texas) – In an effort to help area residents to comply with the new Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) that went in to effect on Monday June 1, the Office of the District Clerk will hold a Passport Fair on Saturday, June 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the El Paso County Courthouse located at 500 E. San Antonio.
Processing services will be provided for applicants of the new passport card, book and passport renewals.
El Paso County District Clerk, Gilbert Sanchez reminds prospective applicants the service will be on a first-come, first-served basis and no appointments will be taken.
In order to expedite the service applicants must provide the correct form of payment.
The cost for the traditional passport book is $75 for adults, payable by check or money order and $60 for children; in addition there will be a $25 cash processing fee payable by CASH or money order to El Paso District Clerk.

 

The passport card is $20 for first-time adult applicants, $10 for children, 15 and younger, and in addition there will be a $25 cash processing fee payable by CASH or money order to El Paso District Clerk.  
If the applicant is a minor both of the child’s parents or legal guardians must appear when applying. A passport application requires both parents’ consent. 
Applicants obtaining the passport book and the passport card simultaneously will pay ONLY one $25 execution fee.
